aPPLICATIONS:

Angelique has long been used in high traffic, high demand applications that require strong compressive and tensile strength, such as naval and architectural decking. It is a suitable alternative to Teak.

Grain is usually straight, but can be irregular. Has a medium texture. Heartwood can range from a lighter pale brown to a dark chocolate brown with darker brown streaks. Color can sometimes have a grey, purple, or reddish cast. Sapwood is pale yellow-gray to nearly white. Typically easy to work provided the grain is straight and regular.

Pale white to light brown, straight grain, easy to work with, soft and light. glues and finishes well, poor steam bending and nail holding.
